The Lavender Hive Story
The Lavender Hive is a family-owned and operated lavender farm located in the heart of Utah. The farm’s rich history dates back to 1864 when Pierre Apollinaire Droubay, a French university professor, immigrated to Utah and introduced new crops to the area. His love for the land and farming was passed down through generations, and today his great-granddaughter Leanne Bedell and her husband Ivan care for the family’s historic home and expansive garden.
The legacy of the Droubay family lives on through Scott Droubay, a prominent Utah farmer known for his alfalfa and other crops. Lavender was chosen as a tribute to Pierre, as it requires less water and is fitting for a Frenchman. The family takes their stewardship of the land seriously and has established a thriving garden that they generously share with others.
At The Lavender Hive, we believe in using sustainable and organic practices to cultivate our lavender fields. Our lavender products, including essential oils, soaps, and lotions, are all handmade with care using the highest quality ingredients. We are committed to providing our customers with a high-quality product that is not only good for them but good for the environment as well.
